I've been told to go to Lancershop.com, but personally, I tend to use Roadracemotorsports.com. I've personally had great customer support from the guys at RRM. Other than that, I tend to frequent the EvoM forums, which has an entire section for used aftermarket parts and vendors who sell aftermarket parts.
Also, I have a Ralliart, not an Evo X. If your friend has an Evo X, I'm sure he would have better luck finding more aftermarket stuff.

Prepare to be.......disappointed. Well, that is, if you're looking for regular Lancer things. The Evo and Ralliart have CONSIDERABLY more support and aren't so disappointing when it comes to aftermarket parts. Meanwhile, in FWD GTS land, I still have to special-order trackable brake pads. Sigh.
Road Race Motorsports seems to do the most with the base Lancer that I know of. MitsubishiParts.net (mostly OEM replacement parts) and LancerShop (all the things) seem to have a bit of a following, too.
evolutionm.net and evoxforums.com have a lot of information on this generation of Lulzcer and links to even more aftermarket vendors who've sponsored the forums and such.
As with anything, look for reviews on wherever you're buying from before sending a bunch of money. Most of the larger vendors are generally trustworthy, but every once in a while, you find a turd in the punch bowl.
A FWD Lancer ran the 25 Hours of Thunderhill once, too. Goodsport Racing put together the car, and I really, really wish I could pick their brains about that.

Seems like road race is based for more cars than just lancers, im going to peek around, if they have anything interesting.

Try rallysportdirect, search around forums and see what manufacturers people recommend, research!
